Hi all,
I don't know much about the second hand market but i have a crestron ST1550C color wireless panel and a ST-CP processor with inbuilt RF gateway in the Marketplace Forum. I've asked for $900.00 Australian. Am i asking too much or too little? I really don't know the second hand Value (in near perfect condition). Any feedback from the aussie guys particularly would be greatly apreciated.

Simon.

FIrst, I think the Aussie user base here is slim........

Second, Crestron does not hold its value onthe secondary market for one primary reason. They are NOT user friendly onthe programming side. Getting these to work with your system is a time consuming and agravating task for most people.

ebay is the best place I've found to unload old automation gear. I dont know whatthe conversion factor is off hand for AMerican to Aussie dollars, but $600-$8000 US is about tops for the combination your talking about on ebay.

I just did the conversion and it is about $683 US. It may help you to put the US price in your post.

I recently 'helped' a customer sell exactly the same gear that he had inherited. He got $1000 for it, but I did agree to program the purchasers system at a discounted rate. (No I didn't get a raw deal) So your probably on the money.

Simon:

If you don't program and no one in Oz will help drop me a line.

But if you can sell it programmed it might help move the product.

Sorry Alan, i should have been clearer when i said i know plenty. I meant to say i know plenty of programmers locally who can help me out with that side of things. I appreciate the offer though.

Thanks
Simon.
