Is there any other place to purchase AA product other than AA? Does anyone have any feedback on their 2 CAT5 distrubtion system?

The 2 Cat 5 product looks nice, but $$$$$. Been using some Mux Lab baluns that seem to work well and are cheaper.

OK So I installed the 9870 kit and it looks awesome. Piece o' cake to set up, looks great, no degradation in PQ - HD looks perfect, (the run was about 50'). I did not use the IR hookup on this though as we were using RF remotes but I did chat with AA, who were quick to respond and very helpful by the way, and they say that a Xantech type setup works great.

Overall a very decent product.

I've been looking at the AA stuff... and we'll be bringing in some 9870 kits... (been using the Audio Control stuff to date).

Here's my issue:

One main AV zone (with AV receivers)
Two sub AV zones (with AV receivers)
One multi-zone audio system (analog video+composite video inputs)
One RTI K4 touchpanel LCD (has 4 composite ins.... but so far have only been able to get 2 to work, due to a small bug which will soon be fixed in the K4). The K4 will monitor the main AV zone via the receiver, AND will be able to control two multi-room zones which are in the same area (open floor plan).. so will need to also monitor the video sources directly when the main AV zone is NOT on.

A bunch of shared/distributed sources:
Sat PVR
Fireball Server
Fireball Client (MP200)
5 disc CD (has analog AND coax digital audio output)
DVD (icing on the cake, but not essential to make distributed)

I want to distribute the video (component video) and digital audio to all AV receivers (3). Plus I need the composite video from all sources to go into the main AV receiver, so it can be monitored on the K4 (input 1 on K4). Plus I need the analog audio from each source to go to the multi room system. PLUS I need the composite video from each source available on the K4 directly (input 2 on K4), so I can monitor sources being used with multiroom.

I'd like to do this without Y-ing any audio or video sources. I am open to using a 8x4 component video matrix.... and any "over-cat5e" solutions... but would like to keep it relatively simple if possible.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
