I hate to say it but even the maestro piece at HD works pretty darn well for 40 bucks retail as long as you have line of sight.
Life is short, enjoy yourself!

Do you want to stay in business? And make money?
I thought so. Remove X-10 from your vocabulary.

Okay, in my defense we have done a few security systems that have an X-10 interface (HAI, DSC, and Elk) with great success. In these we always did the thermostats (with temp sensors), and a few X-10 switches/outlets. Mainly for outdoor lighting. The reason I put it in my showroom was that I was going to show that portion. When we got the theater rooms done, I figured why not put the X-10 switches in there as well, to show that portion. I have other areas that I can do that, I just want to update the theater rooms to be higher end.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

UPB UPB UPB
Pulsworx brand is great stuff and they recently lowered the price. UPB is more reliable than X-10 also.

The GraficEye is one of the coolest of standalone peices I've worked with.

The Spacer System is great as well with a few limitations but less expensive. A spacer dimmer comes as either a credenza or in wall. I've got one of each in our HT with the emitters run to them. 5 scenes. The most useful two commands are the "Path+" and "Path-" for family members stumbling in and out of the room while TV watching in the evening.
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..

I second the UPB. Working on an install this week and although not done yet, all our research shows it to be very good. Much more reliable than X-10 because of the signal strength. It can be completely stand-alone or used with some of the HAI panals. With the HAI it can co-exist with X-10 for your customers that want to add to an existing system. It is my understanding that PulseWorx developed UPB and that other brand like HAI don't put the same level of configurability in there switches that PulseWorx does. Also found out that they (PulsWorx) have alot more devices than what is found on their website; doorbell, phone, florescent dimmers, timed event controlers, etc. Very flexable.

I'll let you know how the install went when I'm done.
