1: Is there any typical range to start at when setting treb hz and gain, mids hz and gain, & bass hz and gain.
2: What do you use when adjusting the EQ? A music CD (adjust the fronts to the liking and set the rest to the same)? A DVD?
3: I have a Sony 333ES receiver and noticed that when I use the Cinema EX B that the bass is tuned down. ex: When watching Lord of the Rings on A.F.D sound field, When those creatures come bashing down the door you feel it with deep bass that souds good also. When I cahnged to Cinema EX B I didn't feel it and the bass was lower. I tried adjusting the EQ for that sound field but I couldn't get the same feel.

The reason I ask is because I feel my system can do better. I've looked all over and can't seem to find anything on EQ adjustments. I know the adjustments are dependent of the room but just want to see if there is any range that you may see. I'm going to reset my receiver this weekend and play. Any help would be very much appreciated. Receiver: 333ES Speakers: B&W DM303 series.

Didn't I just respond to this post in another thread?

(Places index finger on side of head, ala Arsenio Hall, and says,"Hmmmmm.")
