That's harsh.................but very true. Now can we talk about this Betamax problem I have been having since 1978? Your move Mr. Stanley. Just admit to your misdeeds and all will be forgiven.

Not to mention the fact that you have stated it
was an "accident" and you didnt realize it. Yet
even after it was brought to your attention by
several folks, you do it again, and AGAIN claim
ignorance.

Well, I have been doing it accidentally, I'll be more careful, I just see a topic that looks interesting and I click it on.
I didn't know it was such a BIG PROBLEM...

What the hell is the big deal??? Go back to your Dungeons and Dragons game.

I'm probably posting in the wrong forum but I hear the Beatles are breaking up. If it's true those albums are going to be worth a bunch someday.

Anyone know a good Allsop distributer?

Actually I've got a kick out of reading some old posts, welcome to the forum mr stanley.
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..

Isn't Allsop repped by the same guy that does Signet? And Design Acoustics?

Yep, I think he also sells Grado cartridges and AR turntables!

Maybe so. Better attitude would serve you better,
though.

Re: The Duhhh... Focus Factor quote... I was directing that at myself for being such a space cadet... wasn't directing that towards any of you guys:)

It's interesting to see a group of people who basically make their living thinking "out of the box" to come up with custom solutions, handing out a lot of "politically correct" BS about what to do and not do. I understand not discussing price and access to products but how old or young threads have to be to be acceptable is nonsense. Mr.Stanley, don't take these people with control issues too seriously.

Shoe...
Thanks, I appreciate that! Not really paying attention to what I was doing (I AM SUPER A.D.D.), but my intentions are good. I'm new here, and find this website very interesting... I was going back to old threads, not really knowing what I was doing, and not realising it was an offensive action. And yep, I messed up, even after being reprimanded a couple times. I certainly don't wan't to irritate any of the guys who have been on here for years and years. I like to learn, and also share my experience(s), and try and be positive.
I mean we all can learn from each other... I learn new stuff all of the time from new young installers we hire, that have minimal experience, but may approach problems or install situations from different and new directions...
I also have a lot of respect for (some) of the opinions of the senior members, especially those who don't judge, bash, nit-pick or look down their noses, or generally try to power trip, or elevate themselves above the rest of us who love this business. Hell, I already have a roomate with Borderline Personality Disorder!!!
I visit here to seek out a little positive interaction with other people in this field. I have integrity, in terms of taking care of our clients the way we would like to be taken care... and take a lot of care, and have pride in putting together systems that I spend a ton of time researching, and not just accepting the claims of the manufacturors, but getting front-line objective counsel on product and inforemation from my peers, so my clients won't get f'd over like they would at a LOT of other places in this industry... Shit, I'm an old sixties guy - I've been around and seen a hell of a lot, and have had to opportunity to make friends with a lot of good people in the industry.
I had both major successes and failures... It's a tough business, and ever-changing.
I'm not a programmer-but that doesn't mean I am a total dumb-ass either... I don't like being called dishonest, because I went back by hitting the wrong thread...
So, anyway Shoe... I was kind of feeling like Ithis might be a territorial site hosted by a lot of insecure dudes... I appreciate your support! YOU"VE GIVEN ME HOPE BROTHA!
I can understand how some of these guys might resent newbies... That's just human nature...I can be like that too... Brings back memories of when my parents moved around the country, and I ended up being the new dork in class... Any of you ever experience that...there was always an A-hole or two that would hassle you & then there were always the guys who appreciated the fact you were new, and would help you navigate through the jungle of new faces...

I care not to initiate more banter and argumentative commentary, but others feel that it's nice to see many and various names on responses.

This has not been the case in some posts which you have replied to yourself even not once or twice but three times in a row.

We all enjoy the humor and ironic nature of comments from everyone....but you have to understand that you have 132 posts in just the month of January alone......Enthusiatic YES, As you confessed SUPER A.D.D. ....YES YES YES,

The only point I have is when posting to an old post, remember you knock a more current post possibly off the screen for someone who may be really seeking the help and opinion of the network of fellow installers, electricians and assorted bunch........

2cents given.........

Man, 67 posts per week. Do you work at all or are you retired?? Tell the truth.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
