I hate to bitch. OK, no I don't. Could you stop replying to threads that are over 4 years old. I'd be willing to bet the person asking the question either found their answer or gave up.

Welcome anyway!

Don't pay any attention to those guys Mr. Stanley, if you want to resurrect the dead, you go right ahead . You seem to want to help .

But if you come accross any threads about impeaching Nixon, I'd let those rest in peace . :)

Welcome to the forum .

Thanks! I'm not a super technical guy... It's just that I've been haunting crawl spaces and attics, drilling into water pipes & ac, slipping off attic joists and sticking my big assed foot through the ceiling, been burned on bad checks & guys who I didn't have signed contracts with, took on other peoples systems that were over my head, and promised I'd "fix them" and just plain experienced a lot of what can go wrong, and managed to learn a few things the (real) hard way! It would be fun (it's probably already been done), to start a thread on "nightmare install experiences"... I could share my experience of flooding (7) multi million dollar condos out...(they were fully furnished). I'm sure a lot of us have some pretty good install tales to tell!

Oh, Nixon?... I'll let him keep dirt-napping!!! Sorry for waking the other dead though!!!

Ummm, Mr. Stanley, you're not by chance the guy who stepped on the fire system pipe in the attic of my best friend's townhouse in the Seattle area resulting in a total flood out? Guy's first name is Chris and his wife is Lisa?

If you are, that would be the funniest small world deal I've ever had.

That would be too funny.

But how do you break a water pipe just by stepping on it? Maybe Im just too light.

Seattle doesn't need a broken sprinkler pipe to flood the town anyway.

This is true!!!

...Nor does it need a CI guy to flood out 7 High End fully lived in 2 to 4 million dollar condos, when the guys' flexi bit knicks the main sprinkler system feed!!! And the condo Mgr. can't find the shut-off as water is roaring into the room!

It DOES need it's football team to win this Sunday so they can go to the SUPERBOWL!!!!

Guys - I laughed so hard when I read this thread today! Thanks for the laugh!!! I'm currently working on a Xantech touchscreen system with a MRC88 where all the origional files have been lost. Xantech doesn't allow for the existing programing to be sucked out edited and then reintalled. THEREFORE I NEED TO REWRITE EVERYTHING because the tech that did the job for me did not save the 3 files I'm working with. The job is located in Florida where I have a small office but have had to come from NY where my main office is to straighten it out because my partner in Fla couldn't figure it out. I moved in to the guys condo while he's away for a few days and have "hunkered down" until I get it done!! After working late last night, I got up and decided to ck out this site for a little break from my current problems. NOW THAT I HAVE LAUGHED SO HARD reading all your troubles, I don't feel this project is so bad.

Read on. What you just said is not possible if you have even half of a brain.

Maybe so. Better attitude would serve you better, though.

Uh, is this like 2006 now???

No, it is not like 2006. It actually IS 2006, which is a lot more like 2006 than anything that is only like 2006 but not really it.

Now, for your lack of honesty:

You can't accidentally open up threads that are several years old. You have to go looking for them.

At the bottom of the first page of threads, you can click on the five most recent pages, which a moment ago took me all the way back six days to January 16, so that process won't get you old threads.

At the bottom of the first page of threads, you can click LAST, which took me to 2002 and should be pretty obviously old since it is the LAST PAGE ( ! ).

Or you can search and go to topics...but you still have to click on newer than SIX MONTHS, one week, one year, two years, etc. This means you HAVE to have an idea how old the threads are.

I'm with BartJSimpson: Quit resurrecting old threads. You are doing it on purpose and it is pretty irritating, especially, as mentioned, when the topics or problems must have been settled long ago, or, like cactus phonograph needles and Elcasets, just aren't important any more.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Not to mention the fact that you have stated it was an "accident" and you didnt realize it. Yet even after it was brought to your attention by several folks, you do it again, and AGAIN claim ignorance.
