What is the cleanest intercom option with the smallest footprint (or wall print)?
I'm considering the OnQ (fox) system, but was hoping for something that will intergrate well with a MZC-66 or similar.
It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever.

Russound has a nice new line of intercoms too. Can't find it on their site, but I can direct you to more info if you need.

SpeakerCraft has a prototype unit which integrates the MZC with a front door station and the phone system for paging and communication. Supposed to be similar to the Elan Z unit. Until that ships the Elan piece can be integrated with any D/A system.

Good Luck!

Hey Julie,
thanks, I should have included that in my post.
Russound has put out press releases for the ComPoint system, but I could'nt find it on their site.
Just wondering how well it intergrates with d/A systems.
Also, I guess I need to call SC tech support tomarrow to find out the capabilities and limitations of their page inputs.

Thanks DDeca,
Looks like we were posting at the same time.
I had'nt thought of Elan.
I was called in late so this job should of been wired yesterday, so beta and someday solutions are not an option.
Have you used the ElanZ?

I do Elan Z-600's regularly. What would you like to know?

It will interface with any system that I'm aware of.

Uses any phone(landline) and the d/a system. Has a 'zero' foot print, and works quit well.

Ditto, its advetised in the current magazines, mentions checking it out on the russound websitem but its no-where to be found.

Anyone have any idea on if its actually available or not? How would it integrate w an Uno S1 or S2 kp? (Or WOULD it?)
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

The website at Russound needs a visit from http://www.triumphtheinsultcomicdog.com/

"its nice......For me to Poop on!"

Hate navigating that site.

Can you do a phone/intercom solution?
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

You can publicize them better if you write up what you don't like about the site, then nominate them for the "Daily Sucker" award at www.webpagesthatsuck.com, where the motto is "Learn good web page design by looking at bad web page design." FLASH is at the top of their list of bad stuff, along with what they call "mystery meat navigation."
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

It may be more then you are looking for, but NetStreams has released a firmware upgrade for DigiLinX which includes intercom over IP. Microphones are built into the touchscreen (and one of the keypads) and voice playback over the speakers. It takes no more wall space (since it is integrated into the system) and it sounds really good.
