I am in the process of creating a business plan for an Alberta based AV installation company. However, I'm having some issues when it comes to product. It appears that many vendors have set up exclusitivities with local AV companies and retailers. Is this the case in the US? I know of some of the smaller AV companies that have set up US companies to by pass the exclusitivities. Are there any Canadian equipment distributers? Wiring products are no problem at all, it's mostly electronics and speakers.

I understand that the high end companies like to have only one dealer, but what about companies like Toshiba, Sony, etc. I also need to be able to supply those brands. Where would I look for them?
