My client has a Kenwood VR-5090 and a Panasonic S-VHS w/ S-Video output connected to a Fujitsu PDS-5004. The VR-5090 converts all video up to component video. When I display regular analog TV signals on the VCR, it works fine. When I play video tapes, the picture looks like the tracking is off. I connected the VCR directly to the plasma with a s-video cable and I get the same problem. When I hook up the vcr to another TV with an s-video cable it works fine. I'm at a loss - anyone have any ideas?

Timebase correction.
Sounds like the plasma doesn't like the video signal from the VCR.
Two options:
1. Buy a Timebase correction unit (can be expensive)
2. Buy a VCR with it built in (I believe the upper model JVC VCR's have TBC)

Thanks John, I'll give it a try and let you know how it works out. Anyone know of an East Coast (New York)distributor for JVC?
