Anyone have any experience with the CAVS Karaoke system or similar upper end karaoke equipment. A client of mine requested that I look into one for him.

I have briefly used one. At it's core, it's a XP pc. Comes with a big ugly remote. I had to learn all the codes. You must power the unit on from the front panel. The power button on the remote is only good for shutdown.

my father in law bought one online from them, something like 200 songs per disc. pretty cool if youre into that, but the first one was DOA. they didnt reply to email or phone calls, so he stopped payment from his charge card, and voila he got a call !!! new one works perfect though.

I've used http://www.streamkaraoke.com quite a bit... It's only 84.00 per year and you get just about every song out there from the top karaoke producers. They have a free trial on their site. If your gonna use a pc based system anyway this might be the way to go.
