I have a job where the client has purchased 3 NewQ LCD TV screens. The remote controls do not have discrete ON/OFF buttons and I have had no luck finding any. After speaking with the supplier he sent me the info below but it means little to me. Can anyone form a proto hex code from this? or know where/how I might be able to obtain discrete codes?
IR_LEFT_KEY0x0A IR_POWER_KEY0x10 IR_FUNC_CHINC0x0D IR_FUNC_CHDEC0x0C IR_FUNC_VOLINC0x0B IR_FUNC_VOLDEC0x0A [12] [10] IR_FUNC_MUTE0x12 [0E] [0F] [11] IR_FUNC_SCAN0x0E IR_FUNC_CHADD0x0F [0D] IR_FUNC_CHDEL0x11 [0A] [13] [0B] IR_FUNC_CHADDDEL0x0F [0C] IR_FUNC_CH_PREV0x11 IR_FUNC_SOURCE0x18 [01] [02] [03] IR_FUNC_MODE0x18 [04] [05] [06] IR_FUNC_AUTO0x1A [07] [08] [09] IR_FUNC_VGA0x14 [18] [00] [1A] IR_FUNC_TV0x1B IR_FUNC_CATV0x19 [14] [1B] [19] IR_FUNC_DVI0x1B [15] [16] IR_FUNC_TV0x19 IR_FUNC_AV0x15 IR_FUNC_SV0x16 IR_FUNC_NUM00x00 IR_FUNC_NUM10x01 IR_FUNC_NUM20x02 IR_FUNC_NUM30x03 IR_FUNC_NUM40x04 IR_FUNC_NUM50x05 IR_FUNC_NUM60x06 IR_FUNC_NUM70x07 IR_FUNC_NUM80x08 IR_FUNC_NUM90x09
Any help would be great.
Cheers, Pete

Hmph....
That list isnt going to do anyone any good.... At first glance they appear to be RS-232 commands to me. but that doesnt even really make sense....

as impaqt said these will do you no good, and it looks to be 232, but even then it appears there is no discrete power commands. it looks like this is the only power related command - toggle power command i image.
IR_POWER_KEY0x10
i mean it sucks this guy is stuck with uncontrollable, unreliable equipment, he should have bought from you!!!
if anything find who is the OEM for this no-namer and hope their code set works. try NEC maybe??
just did a google search, is this a computer monitor? good luck if so......

Thanks for the reply guys, I'll give the NEC codes a try, the screens are TV's (built in tuner) but I think their core focus is monitors.
Anyway thanks again,
Pete
