Is your base station near your kitchen?
Have you called your mother?
It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever.

We can just assume that this is the work of some Government agency sending out rogue transmissions under the guise of the Patriot Act.

Are there black sedans driving around the neighborhood on a regular basis??

Has there been a carpet cleaning truck inconspicuously parked across the street for the past couple days??

First things first, replace the batteries, or top them off overnight if they are rechargable packs...
Low batteries account for probably 50% of the calls I have ever had about intermittent remotes.

I think you need to take it one step at a time and do some detective work, I don't think there is an easy answer

The first step is to make sure if it is IR or RF because the next steps will be determined from that.

Try disconnecting the RF base

also
1) is it one device or all of them
2) what remote do you use. (the RF bases are different for a Pronto, MX/800/3000 and MX600/URC
...

Julie - might be the Christmas lights? A similar issue seems to come up every Christams time.

Do you have a neighbor that gets on his Big Trucker CB/Ham radio at 8 every night????

This is always nice to experience....

Your Mom is quite a lady, you just got to love the human spirit some have!
Also the "lights" video was amazing, no idea how they did that but so cool!

That light video has been floating around our offices in e-mails for a couple of weeks, and I just saw it in a Miller Lite ad over the weekend.

There is a guy in my office with a degree in theater and stage lighting who said that this is not too hard to pull off for a knowledgeable programmer with a good pro lighting controller...
Maybe something like this:

I'd seen the lighting video before but assumed it was just computer animation using a bunch of still lighting shots.
