Merry Christmas all.or Ramahankwanzmas or what ever.

I have a strange problem I really have not cared about in my own system...until now. I, like most of you, am a seasoned vet in the custom install business. But I still do not even own a TV with video inputs. So that means I am using a cheasy modulator to get a pic from my surround setup(DVD, DVR). The problem is I am splitting the output of the modulator between two TV's( 27" + 13"). The 27 works fine. The 13" though when I watch DVD's the picture fades form light to dark and sometimes the sound makes pops and fades also. There is just a 2way splitter on the output of the modulator. So it should get the same results , right? Help me out here cause I am getting tired of this.

Thanks
Go phuq yourself!

ditch the $7 modulator and splurge on a tv with a/v inputs? :)

Other than that Im not sure, except that the mod just may not be strong enough to drive 2 sets??
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

does the 13" have a VCR built in??

It could be the macrovision tweaking out...

How far away are both of these TV sets from the modulator.

Who makes the modualtor?

Who makes the splitter.

Most modulators put out 30 db of power. Thats alot.

If you also have another video source and the output does not match the output of the modulator, there is your problem.

The first thing that cossed my mind was REALITY!!

We bust are buts day in and day out installing systems of such magnitude that we would all love to have(if we had a few extra rolls of thousand dollar bills laying around)for people that may or may not really enjoy as much we would!

Kind of like the top-notch Ferarri mechanic that drives a 10yr old Volvo! :-(

I guess I shouldn't complain. At least my tv's have video in! ;-)

The symptoms certainly sound like macrovision to me.
I guarantee I'll tell you the truth and I guarantee I'll tell you what you need to know but I can't guarantee that I'll be telling you anything you want to hear.
