Has anyone had any problems using an RC-9200 with RX-77 on a DV6200?? I have installed two systems where that combo exists and on both the 6200's the controls are really sluggish. By sluggish I mean that you can not rapidly press the the controls of the DVD player, you must press a button wait a second then press it again. Sometimes that does not help either.

what is an RX-77? A google search gave me many pages of answers, most of them being about cannons....
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie,

It's the RF extender for the Pronto/Marantz.

Jessops,

Can't really help except to suggest trying a different channel/extender ID. Probably just the nature of the beast. Mine doesn't seem any slower on the equipment I use it on.

maybe Jim's situation is the odd one: I have noticed that the RF version of any remote is a bit slower than the IR when a remote can be run either way.
The worst situation that I had, though, with the slowest response, had RF interference from an alarm system in the area of the receiver. Is there any way you could relocate the receiver for a test?

Reseting the RF address sometimes helps on certain equipment.

I've installed a bunch of the RX-77 units and have problems with some unit and not with others. If you read my other post on the RX-77, I seem to be having problems with an existing RadioRa installation and my RX-77 receiver. The entire Master Bedroom suite has Ra in it and the Ra switches transmit on 418mhz and so the RC9200. There seems to be some interference between the two. I'm going to take a Freq Counter to the job and see if 418 is being transmitted on and off.

I've changed the Channel/codes and have had better luck with the remote. Dave from Marantz's tech support has been a great help with troubleshooting problems.

Marantz RX77 (and the Pronto counterpart) can all have trouble coexisting with any other 2.4 gigahertz radio devices(wireless lans, cordless telephones etc.)
You also need to make sure the equipment isn,t totally blocking the transmission path and you cover up the RX77 if you are using emitters. It is also recommended to make the remote totally RF for all components.

we have installed many of the marantz counter part, the pronto 6000 and we find the rf extended to be very unreliable in many ways. Of course we are in Ny and there is so RF floating around in general it is a problem.

The RX-77 unit in question is hidden in the attic, over the master bed. It's worked fine till I fired up the Radiora stuff. Now it works so so. I took a freq counter today and can see 418mhz pop up every time I used a Radiora swich or a tabletop unit. The marantz unit is also on the same freq. I verified that today with the counter. I played with the flasher levels going to the DSS receiver from the Niles unit and things seems to clear up. The RX-77 seems to still pulse some type of IR noise.
