I would suspect that it is either your cable, software or the remote itself. Basically given thewith the info given, it can be anything. I have a RC9200 where the serial port connector on the remote is seperated from the main board and I get a similar message. It could also be a problem with your com port assignment. Touch Screen Setup only works with com 1. If you are using a USB to serial adaptor, that opens up another can of worms. Try posting in the Pronto forum.
