Man these new HR10-250's suck! Am I alone here? Is this the slowest processor in the history of DirecTV? Why can't we get codes from URC for this puppy yet? Anyone had luck with the old HR10 codes?

I have never had a problem with the HR10-250. I have with the d10's, but not these. I usually just learn the codes into the software.

No problems here with the 850 and the HR10-250. WHat I HAVE had problems with is the MRF-300. THe output is just too strong for the 10-250. I had to turn the gain all the way down and put the emmitter on backwards to get it to respond consistently.

None of you guys have any problems with the HR10-250? I concur with briremo. It is the slowest damn DVR I have ever seen. Four to Five seconds just to load the stupid guide page and then another three to four seconds to page up and page down. If I wasn't already in an agreement with Direct TV I would switch back to Dish. Dish has a much, much better user interface.

Tivo just plane SUCKS IMO.

I have never had problems with the IR or RF interference. I do agree that it is a slow machine. Reminds me of the first gen 18" dish receivers.

Thanks to all. Like an idiot I was looking under SAT for the Sat DVR. Our cable system here is so good we rarely use dishes and all the cable dvr codes in the cable section! Thanks again

The original run of the HR10-250 didn't have the issues that the newer ones seem to. It is mostly an IR overload problem. If the remote works the unit fine while on IR only, but subsequently has problems using the MRF, turn down the flasher output, and, if necessary, move the emitter until you find a better site on the faceplate.
