Can somebody who really KNOWS tell us what that mystery letter is in the name of the Panasonic models?
I see it as a G because it literally is a capital Gamma. We vidiots should all recognize the letter gamma as it is a video spec.
The thread that motivated me to finally put this up for a vote interpreted is as a T.
Wait, it IS a T -- just look at the logo for 20th Century Fox at the beginning of a movie, and you will see that the stroke across the T of 20th does not go to the left, only to the right!
Wait, it is an R -- a small R writ as large as the capital letters in the rest of the name!
Do the people at Panasonic really want a model name which cannot be searched for on google because one of the letters is not really a letter?
Maybe we should ask Prince what his opinion is.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV. My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird. |

Doesn't Panasonic have TV ads where you are? They've been advertising the Viera this month with some British-sounding guy here, and he says "viera".

While I love audio and video, I don't watch a whole lot of television, and I totally ignore advertisements unless they are visually interesting. That is, we hit MUTE almost immediately.
When I was a kid, I was my mom's remote control. We wore out the volume control on a television, but I was pretty healthy, because I got up and lowered the control for every ad. In fact, my first electronic project at about age 12 was putting a switch in series with the speaker and putting it in a little box with twenty feet of wire so my mom could turn the damn thing down herself. I will bet the TV was a hot chassis, so I guess we are lucky we are both alive!
