Stupid Problem.

I lost the "Settings" Option in the tools menu on a TSU3000.
1] Where did it go?
2] how do I get it back?

George, if you can upload the remote's pcf program file into peng, try this. 1) double click on "SYSTEM" -this should expand the system icon and display afew choices including "SYSTEM PAGE". 2) double click "SYSTEM PAGE" - the remote's system page is opened for editing on the right. 3) point your cursor over the small pronto symbol with the wavy lines above it in the top left corner of the system page. at the same time left click and drag this pronto symbol with your mouse into the middle of the blank system page. leave it there for the time being. 4) notice that another pronto remote symbol without the wavy lines has been exposed by moving the symbol with the wavy lines. 5) double click on this symbol to open its button properties page. 6) left click on special action and scroll down to settings pages. 7) exit the button properties page. 8) drag the pronto symbol with the wavy lines back to its original location DIRECTLY on top of the pronto symbol without the wavy lines. 9) save the file and download it back to the remote. Your settings pages should now be back

It works for me, but I am also self-taught with Pronto software. If anyone has a better way (easier) of doing this, please let me know.

Did you also post this in the Pronto NG Forum? That is the kind of remote that you have, and the lurkers over there are really good. You are more likely to get responses there, but Aaron sure seems to have it down! (Also, it is nice protocol to mention in this thread if you also posted in another thread -- it keeps the confusion down.)

It is quite a nice surprise that I see a new name here today, with very few posts, with such a complete description of a cure. Aaron, thanks, and welcome!

I have always been at a loss as to what is going on with the stuff at the top of the page, so it is really good to see this description. Its principles probably apply to all of the other current Pronto and Marantz models, too.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Aaron you are the man!
I'm home now and I don't have the remote with me, but I tried your suggestion on my notebook and it worked great.
How the *#^@ did you figure that out?
I'll try it on the remote tomorrow, but I'm sure you have the problem licked.
Thank you,
GP

To Ernie;
I didn't post the thread in the Pronto Forum. If the Pro's couldn't help that was my next stop.

GP, glad to hear that worked. Any time.
