I picked up the jack at a local electronics supplier, I would not expect the Rat Shack to carry this item. It is the same principle as when you plug in headphones to a tv and the internal speaker turns off. Or when you have a battery powered device, you plug in a power adapter and it switches power sources. It is just a mechanical switch. You will need to diagram it as it gets kind of confusing wiring it up :o)
