What's everybody using to pre-wire for RS232 control at 100 feet or less? For that matter, any ideas on how to pre-wire for DVI? At Cedia I saw Monster demonstrating a 40' DVI cable, but I don't think its available yet.

RS-232 is 50ft max by spec. You can go longer depending on speed and noise rejection, CAT5.

Check www.crestron.com and read specs on their equipment. If I remember right, the stuff that can do RS-232 also does RS-422, a serial protocol that can go A LOT farther than RS-232.
