I'm a Jamo dealer that has used the Jamo abus system, which includes an AM4.6, only once. In the origional install we simply connected the 4 sources to the AM4.6 as well as the 4 outputs (cat5) zones to the 4 rooms with speakers. Everything worked as planned: the keypads control the AM4.6 via Cat5 and provided the amplified audio to the speakers via the keypads built in amp.
Here's my situation: I'm in need of doing an install with 6 output zones and considering using the 4 subzone outputs (RJ-45 jacks) available on the AM4.6. What I'm not quite sure of is how the subzones should be connected or will operate in relation to the main zone. My estimated guess is that the speakers in the sub zone need to be connected to the keypad of the subzone and not to the keypad of the matching main zone. Also, the source selection of both the main & the sub zones will be the same (and selectable at either key pad) but the volumes can be differant since the amplifier is built into the key pad. IS THIS CORRECT? THANKS!
