Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

You mean their $10,000 sets didn't do too well in their partnership with Sears? What a surprise. Let me guess, now they're pursuing custom installers. Be careful.

Very good links.

What's even more interesting is following Sony's continuing hardship. What's the best guess on their plan to turn things around? Setup Walmart with Grand Vega?

And keeping in my grand tradition of taking threads well off topic.....

As I've eluded to before, it seems that Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears, Target and Walmart combined aren't able to support the collective 250 or so brands who wish to jump onto the money train because that money train has only so many seats.

OK, it is clear I won't need to compete with Sears on this product. Anyone actually sell one, or install one?

Has anyone seen one actually working? What market? I am in the NYC market, and no one seems to know much about them.

It seems to me that's sort of the issue. Do you really want to be selling a television product from an unknown company that so far seems to have no success in the market? Sure, you get an exclusive, but is it worth the risk if the company is not around a year from now?

Yes, that's why I'm asking. Seems like it is a little too good to be true; a video line with margin you can make a living at, good features, plausible selling price. What's wrong with this picture?

Loewe jumps immediately to mind.

Samsung beat him up and took his lunch money.

Ya, it was pretty nasty. Then Loewe came back to school in a Ninja uniform packin metal. I'm surprised GotGame and I are the only ones that have heard about it. Now Lowes' parents are blaming it on violent video games.

We put one in a commercial job. It was the 1280x720 set, looked about the same as a Samsung or Sony GW. The lack of discrete IR was a big negative. I wonder what the 1920x1080 looks like? I would rather spec a qualia 006.
