I'm putting together a proposal that includes a 50" Plasma TV that will flip down out of a ceiling (flat roof 2x12 joists). This is the better choice than to mount the TV to a marble faced, solid block fireplace.
I've done a few lifts for projectors (ceiling drop down - Chief) and plasma pop ups (Auton). But haven't done enough with either company to know who makes the better flip down. Any suggestions?
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..
Just one thought, with the flat roof you might want to look at a vapor barrier between the plasma back and the roof. Some construction contractors vent their bathroom fans into the vacuous space in the ceiling if it meets code. The condensation can kill the plasma.
How about the possible effects from tilting the panel? I am told tipping a plasma is not recomended. Is that just B.S.? I've steered away from doing that excact install for that reason.
we have used their lifts on many occasions. They have some pretty cool options. We buy them from a cabinet distributor, although I know they sell direct.
