I'm looking at Netstreams right now, even though I have my heart set on a Niles 4630 based system.

Price points seem to be the same.

Any help before I get caught up in it?

Thanks guys for any help or ideas. Aloha

price points the same? I dont' think so. Factor in all the extra RDL's you have to use to make the netstreams sound good and it's not a deal any longer. "Sound" wize, niles smokes the musica system.

Have you done an A/B comparison with the same source material in the same room with the same speakers?

I install both. If there are longer runs of cabling from the head end to the keypad I use Musica. Also no programming (just configuring) plus Netstreams has a nice network interface for PDA's or web tablets... also be sure to run coax for FM to every keypad location for the local FM tuner card. Either way both are good systems.

Thanks soundguy04

I went with the 4630, but I was checking the Netstreams hard. Looks really cool. This just wasn't the project to try something new on. Musica looks like a good platform for the money.

I did have a thought; I don't trust a 50W keypad that runs on a 16-2. It just seems like a better ABus.

Plus, I'm not ready to start pulling CAT5 to a speaker. It was just a few years ago that there were supposed to just start pulling CAT5 to everything. Anybody every hook any of that CAT5 up for it's intended purpose?

Last I checked, they still had them, but that was quite a while ago.

If you still can't find one, e-mail me.
