I have been trying now for weeks to take an already created ccf from RC.com and convert it to work with my components. I just can't see to understand everything that is going on. I know it seems like I am giving up, but I really am. :) Everyone here has been very helpful and I can seem to get some things to work, but when it comes to more complex items, it is just taking me too much time that I don't have. Is there anyone that would use an already selected ccf that I chose and tweak it to work for me? Please contact me when possible.

Sincerely
Frustrated!!

I applaud bob's attitude, and I take that attitude myself, but I also find that there are just lots of details that make it hard for a person to make a good ccf. We installers get better than the average person at doing these probably because we really can't give up, even if we have to eat time. We also have the reassurance that time consumed solving problems will help us on future ccfs. I pity the person who does his own ccf and cannot lower the average time it takes to figure out some things by using the solution over and over on remote after remote.

I also find that I can do the ccf once, not several times until I get it right, if I can do a lot of the work on site. so, jak, where are you? Your profile does not tell. I don't think you will find anybody to physically help you if they can't find you...

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I think jak was referring to Remote Central (RC).
How hard can this be?

P.S. Jak, I can program those things in my sleep (and usually do). If you email me the ccf you're working on I'll fix it for you.
