I have a Milwaukee and my last drill was a Dewalt. I have got to vote for the Ryobi. The Dewalt develops a chuck wobble and the Milwaukee has a bad run time and eats through brushes. While both of these Drills may be better then the Ryobi Neither are worth 3x the price. Not even close. I buy the Ryobi drills for my guys and we beat the hell out of them and when they die, or get run over, or left in a god awfull crawl space we buy a new one. They go for as little as $79 with 2 batteries and a case. I have also seen them for $30 drill only. If you are not the type to baby your tools you cant go wrong with this drill.

Bosch.

I have the Bosch 18v set with light, drill, sawzall, circular saw and jigsaw along the an additional 18v hammer drill. Nothing I've used before can touch these. All well-balanced tools, the battery life is respectable and charge fast.

I also own a 14.4 Dewalt T-handle, a Dewalt 12 volt T-handle and (2) Dewalt 12 volt right angles (car audio days). The Dewalts EAT batteries up, and they aren't cheap.I also remember a huge recall on the DeWalt chargers awhile back, seems they liked bonfires. 12 volt car charger is slick though. These stay in the shop. DeWalt does, however, make a HUGE variety of cordless tools, from drills to metal shears to finish nailers. Must be a HUGE profit in batteries...........

I've had a Bosch corded jigsaw and circular saw for over 10 years with never one problem. My roto-hammer is also a Bosch, of course and has been well abused. If you drill into or through concrete alot, buy a roto-hammer over a hammerdrill. Your arms and time clock will notice a big difference.

The HoleHawg and the Super Sawzall are Milwaukees. Top notch is all I can say.

I haven't posted here, since I don't own any 18-volt DeWalts. I do, however, own the 24-volt hammer-drill, reciprocating saw, and 6" circular saw. These tools are easily as powerful as their corded counterparts, no kidding.

I have six of the 24-volt batteries, two chargers, and two corded battery eliminators, the last of which make the tools even stronger and faster. I am quite happy with battery life, both per charge and long-term; no bad batteries yet.

The drill has no trouble running a 1" auger through solid wood, like four 2x's, and barely slows down for nails. My helper has a cheekbone bruise that can attest to that. The recip and circular saws makes quick work of framing.

Wanting something lighter, I recently got a Kawasaki (yes, the same 'Team Green') 18-volt drill/flashlight kit (Costco), but I haven't really had the chance to give it a workout yet. I shall report back when I have something to report.
