If you can't do Crestron/AMX it "might" be possible
to control an HAI system via Weblink with the
K4s built in web browser.

That would give you two way control of security,
lighting, and climate.

This method may also work with the Fireball through
the web browser interface.

This is not that slick but may be a way to go,
although the price of the K4 is well into the
Crestron/AMX range

Im going through similar issues as well. Trying to find a good system for my dads house. Need to control security, lighting, DA, and maybe HVAC. AMX/Crestron is not do-able, so I'm looking at possible a possible HAI/Rossound combo. Was also considering Home Logic, but not sure yet what to pair it with.

You mention the RTI/HAI combo. Since the HAI has buit in web capabilities anyway, why cant it be used solely?
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

Another thing is, how do I use 3-4 of the touchpads in a single install and keep them on the same page/in sync?

I was aware of the one-way control but I did not realize it could physically interface directly with the cm-232. How many 1/8 ports did does it have?
I'll let you know tomorrow..

Doesn't have any 1/8" inputs.

You have to connect the K4 to a CB-4, then to an RP-6, all via Cat5 w/RJ45 ends.
