I've searched a bunch a couldn't find any info here. I have a customer with the SA box and the IR system will not control it. I have tried the usual trouble shooting tips (different flashers, move the flashers, cover the flashers etc.) This box will not respond to anything. The other devices (dvd/vcr) work perfectly. What frequency is the 3250HD's IR. BTW I also had a speakercraft 2P2 and that also didn't work. If you've run into this problem what have you done? The system is comcast in th e Philly/S. Jersey area.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Russound makes a thing called a 56k re-modulator. Worked once with a SA HD box in Alexandria, VA. Nothing else worked.

Core, as already pointed out its the frequency of the IR reciever ( it will not allow the IR to pass ) much like B&O used to be in the day....You may be able to fight with diffrent IR systems to repair the issue....Notice I said fight.....We have had HUGE problems here in bama with these stupid as* boxes from SA....

The best solution we have found all the way around....Just go RF...I know the client may be bottom basement, but try at LEAST an RTI system...of course the big guys, Crestron, AMX, and Alon can fix the problem as well..But with all the new equipment coming out ( not to mention plasma issues ) its becoming almost impossible to control a whole system with IR anymore...hell you should even run an emmiter at least, or a 232 control to the plasma...it just plain works....My 2 cents....

The labor you will save in the long run will be worth it...

If you use the CFL friendly dinky link, it doesn't have high enough frequency to send the codes to the SA box. Try the 480-10 series dinky link.

i have had cable boxes that wouldn't allow the signal to pass through. we had to put 2 ir recievers on the system next to one another. i believe it was a niles table top ir reciever or mabey xantec that you could change the frequency that you wanted to pass through. so we put one on high and one on low.
please tip your installer

Thanks to all who've responded. I'll look into both the Russound and Audioplex items.

Doh! it may be that I used the CFL friendly Xantech 480-080. I'll check that too.

Get rid of the cfl friendly dinky-link. wwpower44 nailed the problem. That model sensor cuts off below 56k. All S.A. boxes work at that frequency. Just switch over to the standard dinkylink and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from plasma tvs. Audioplex stealth4056 is great too.
