Hey all, I have a MX-3000 I am programming, and I have a Bose Lifestyle AV48 System that I want to incorperate into it. Is the LIFESTYLE system RF only? If so are there any IR codes that I can use that will make this thing work? Is there a way to learn RF codes from the Bose Remote. This is only my 3rd mx-3000 ive programmed and Im not a master yet. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Bose can be set up to operate by IR but you have to turn it on in the set up menu.

This Particular remote, the (RC38T1-27) Doesnt even have a IR Eye. So i assume that only RF is being projected from it.

Go into the Bose menu (using the Bose remote) and turn on the IR.

The Bose remote is RF only. The Bose media center can receive IR or RF... Did you check the file section? I was able to get my TSU7000 to work my Lifestyle 35 using files from this site.

The IR receivers are located along the front in the middle of the unit just below the DVD tray lid.

yes i know but for some reason the flashers that i have used (niles, xantec, speakercraft) always give me trouble. i usually have to stick it on another piece of equipment and shoot it up to hit it. i think the signal is too strong.
please tip your installer

Two things... If you are using a MRF300 as the repeater, I believe that you can "dial down" the emitter's strength.

The other thing is there is a RF to IR convertor that works with some of the Bose lifestyle systems. I have a friends sister who has a lifestyle 20 that I'm trying to make work with a Harmony. Tech support sent me to www.bluedo.com. I haven't used it yet, actually I just ordered it yesterday.

Hope it helps!

The proper adjustment of the Bose system primarily consists of pulling out it's plug connected to the Monster power strip.

Not sure in the name of all that is holy one would blaspheme a Hemi by cramming it into a Pacer.

mercy.

This only reaffirms to me that "great" certainly means opposite things to different people.
