Is there any danger of maybe burning a monitor screen if a CCTV monitor is ceiling mounted close to flourescent light ballasts in the ceiling? A customer of mine insisted on me mounting the monitor in the center of the room and the ceiling tile that he wanted on was right behind a light. Just wondering how bad it will be and how long it takes for the monitor to get messed up if it is bad.

Monitor or camera? I don't see why it would hurt a monitor.

I could imagine that a constant display of a lit fluorescent tube could cause a burn-in, but not a ballast, which could possibly cause electrical noise bars.
