What model DVR? Tivos have ethernet capability if the proper hacks are done.

Dish Net's 942 just added USB USB support, but for now its only to download to a "Pocket Dish" or to up-load pictures to the 942.
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

I use the Dazzle Video Creator 80... It is a USB A/V converter that accepts composite or s-video inputs. I got it a few years ago for under $100 at BB. I believe Dazzle was bought out by another company, but they still offer a similar device. The included software allows you to create and burn a DVD or just store it on your computer. Please note this device is not needed if your computer already has A/V inputs.

If you have Tivo and it is hooked up to a network, they offer a free software package called Tivo To Go which allows you to transfer recorded shows from the Tivo unit to any computer on your network. Your Tivo unit must have the latest software version on it for it to work.

Alternatly, if your computer and PVR are not near eachother, buy a DVD recorder...

Im guessing you want this in HD quality? If so, then the Dazzle piece wont work.

If using the 942, there are no known "hacks" that I am aware of that allow network connections. USB is supported, but like i said, its only for pocket dish and UP-loading pics. Anyone else know of any other methods that Im missing?

TV Tuner card in computer and Nero Ultra or Belkin composite video to USB and Nero Ultra. HD it aint! Easy it aint! It looks as if a frame or two is missing every second but I have saved many priceless videos to DVD this way.
