Thanks for the entaintainment and the information. I'll tell them to get in contact with the FCC if it keeps up.

Um, bad news. It actually takes a long time and a lot of pestering the FCC to get rid of a rouge CB'er.
Occasionally they will bust one guy and make press releases about it, and make the guy's life hell, just to keep the other bad guys on their toes.
The guys that get the immediate attention are the ones that start transmitting on public service bands, making false police calls, etc.
Then next down the list are the persistant ham radio jammers, many of which have had complaints against them for over a year.
Running too much power in the CB bands is way down there in priority for the FCC.
Your best best is actually with the local police. The FCC did give local authorities power to investigate CB'ers, but most local police don't know that, or aren't technically savvy enough to tell the difference between a CB radio and a Ham radio.
Another thought is that it is not actually CB, but the guy nextdoor might actually be a licensed amatuer running a kilowatt in the HF band. Some folks see the strange antennas on the roof and assume it's a CB. Might just try knocking on the guy's door and letting him know that he is interfereing with the electronics nextdoor. If he's a licensed amatuer, he might actually help fix the problem.

OK, now that we have picked on the CBer's for a bit, lets have a solution. Some years back, when I moved into my house, I used to get 1 of the local AM radio stations on my sub. I flipped the switch 180 degrees out of phase and problem went away.

Is a "rouge cb'er" the same as a gay redneck? Not sure you'd want to get rid of em' anyway!

How about the blatant pink ones? Or are you somehow hinting that we should not only have red and blue states, but also rouge ones? I have heard of rouge states before, but usually they were talking about Libya...I don't get the connection.

Speaking of connection, the neighbor could be using the proper power and your grounding could be inadequate, so follow the above grounding advice before you call anyone. There aren't a lot of home CBers any more, so this doesn't come up too often, but you have to start by secufing the stuff that should not be receiving broadcasts. THEN move on to suspecting the source.

Wow. I thought ours was the only industry with licensed amateurs.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

A linear amp on the CB, man it's been a long time! We had a guy next to our shop a few years ago and it would shut down my Panasonic phone systems pager horn.

I really think that there a some RF wireless antennas for long range internet messing with 900mhz telephones.

Just watch, those signals will get out of hand real soon.

Bill, in case you don't get it, they're picking on your spelling.

If he turns out to be a real jerk, you could always put a thick upholstery needle through the coax shorting the center to the shield...
That way the next time he keys up with that amp would be the last time he keys up with that amp...

That's really mean and nasty! You know he'll find the needle and blame someone close by.

It's better to use a straight pin, and snap it off flush with the cable jacket, so it's invisible.

I bet if "someone" mixed up some homemade Tide plus kerosene napalm from out of the old anarchists' cookbook, put it in an old mustard bottle, squeezed it through some freshly bored holes through the neighbor's siding, and then lit the holes with a grill lighter...

Well, I would bet that that would get the neighbor's attention.

Actually, in retrospect, it also seems to get you on a first name basis with the arson inspector.

Nevermind.
