I just got a used 27" Phillips Magnavox TV with the original remote.
I however, and not so tech savvy, and I cannot get it set up so my son
can play his PS2 on it. Can anyone help?

What do you mean by "Program Remote for Video Games"? Does the TV have RCA inputs? If it does, just hook up PS2 to RCA inputs and select the proper input on the TV.

I'm not sure what RCA is....sorry... but we did plug the PS2 plugs into the same color on the back of the TV. We did the input thing, and nothing happens! I just don't understand. I took my TV from the living room, and he plugged in the PS2 and it worked just fine.

Make sure that you are plugging into the video (yellow) & audio (white & red) inputs, and not the outputs. Select the proper input with your remote...

If it is an older set, you might need to turn to channel 91 or 92 for the input to work.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Or like a few.....Select channel 1 then press channel down....it may find the input that way

Or maybe like in the hotels...........Menu then select it there

1. Do a google search and look up your TV
2. Do a search and look for your TV and input or Video 1
3. If nothing else...send the boy into the other room, sell video game, bow head in shame and go on with purchase of PONG.
4. Purchase new TV from any of the nice owners/installers on this website and fund our lives so that we may further entertain you with unlikely answers as these.

SPIN above TV around and look at color RCA/jacks on back of TV, look for INPUT 1 or VIDEO 1 written next to each one.
If there is OUTPUT written next to these, go to W*&-M%$# and purchase channel 3-4 modualor in AV/DVD/CD department....
Ask the nice kid who loves movies but cant figure out that 16x9 is a heck of a math problem and will gladly take off his shoes to FIGR That one derh OUT....It converts Audio/Video into a signal on channel 3 or 4 and then you insert this into the coaxial input (ANT input) on the back of the TV and then cable hooks into it also, so when you turn on the GAME and turn the TV on channel 3 or 4 you gave a video Game and when you shut it off it goes a back to TV.
These are like $16-$18 dollars........

WOW thats fun..........
