I need to get it wired by a professional any references in calgary alberta would help!

what do I need in terms of equipment..keeping in mind I just want a touchpanel or something in the den that I can select my cd player and play music...but not have to listen to the same music in the living area? thanks for any ideas my budget is not big at all I was hoping to buy some stuff of ebay...the bulk of my budget would go to wiring

Try looking at the CEDIA web site.

It's always a good start.

Skip ebay - typically no warranty regardless of what they claim. I'd get a 2 zone reciever like the Yamaha RXV757 and add an in wall controller like the Sonance K2. This way you can have full control of the den setup and have a little surround in the living area.

Oh, sure, and next you'll be saying that we shouldn't use Bose speakers!

I work at Holmes Theater in Calgary. We are reps for Crestron and Elan. Depending on the scope of the job and your budget, Im sure we can get something done for you. Feel free to call us. 291-2929. I am one of the techs that would do the install. You would need to speak to Warren or Patrick with regards to equipment and pricing.
