Well, this sounds like the place to "borrow" a TV for the last big game. Shall we give them a spanking? I think I'd like a 12' TV wall this year. How about you guys?

The return policy guy must have a bit of plasma oozing from his brain. I think I would have fired him just for bringing up this kind'a idea. Common sense would dictate that a one year no questions asked return policy on a big ticket low margin product is just moonrock dumb.

On a lighter note, my boy busted the binding on our 1 year old wakeboard (a few too many very entertaining landings). Took it into Costco to get the name of the manufacturer for repair and all we got was a lousy heartfelt apology and full refund.

I just wish they sold us the boat too. Do you have any idea what it costs for that hole in the water?

Ah, now you know why those guys with sails look down their noses.....

Beneath it all, they are really thinking "He's so poor, having the upkeep on the overpowered thing, He's just not in OUR class".....lol

A 'speed boat' won't help!

My 25' Eliminator with a 502 is just as bad. And not near as roomy! It will run 75mph loaded up though.

I'll bet the kids love (or HATE) the wake of your cruiser!!!

Personally, I'm ready for a Pontoon boat with a 115 Johnson ;-)
Nahh.....
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

I just got an e-mail from one of my distributors saying that the 504 has been discontinued. The replacement is the 505.
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

Do not sell Pioneer consumer glass. Sell the
commercial with the KDS video card.

Alan

Quote from Vincent on another thread

"These are Commercial products with no Shielding, prossesing, or descrete commands. They are refered to as Digital Signnage. Everything in the home causes interference on these things. I recently picked up a customer that had spent a ton of money from another company who sold them Commercial displays. I was able to set one side by side with a Vidikron with the same signal and a Retarded Blind Baboon could see the difference in quality and noise on the Commercial display. It costs half the price for a reason."

I was talking to a rep at Cedia who said the main differences were shielding. Based on this quote I have to ask. If discreets, PQ, etc ARE of concern (obviously) then should we be selling the commercial or consumer versions?
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

Far be it from me to disagree with Alan, but we sell both the standard line and Elite Plasmas, and there is no comparison... The 1130 is far better for picture quality on both HD and SD. We've put them up side by side, and it was a very clear difference.

It's old technology. It's the Pioneer 5040 which
is a 2004 model according to Pioneer. Pioneer
told me that Costco buys previous years Pioneer
products from other retailers such as Best Buy,
CC, etc.

So 2 years ago you were telling customers not to buy, as there would be a new model next year, and the 5040 was/is a waste of money?

Or perhaps you're telling customers today to wait 2 more years, then give you a call to get good product! Yeah, sure!

You realize that the panel manufacturers don't necessarily wait for the next model to make changes. They'll change circuit board designs and circuitry on the fly. I've even seen the panel and glass change for several manufacturers during a single model.

Doesn't that make the thing more likely to leak
plasma?

No problem, just go to Circuit City and get a plasma recharge kit.

The 505 has discretes, internal tuner, comes w/ detachable speakers & stand. I'm not always winning customers over to the 505cmx I sell. Now, the 505 will not currently be the new model soon. Anyone know if it will be a turd like the current 43"? Man, I hope so.

The Costco Pio 43" is the real garbage. No discretes/anchors, non detatchable speakers, bad filtering. Looks great when it's turned off.
