I recently installed a Sharp LC32D5U TV. I was able to go back into all my RTI and Pronto files and find the Video 1-4 inputs. I had to use a combination of 2 files but I was able to find 4 codes that work. Channel up/down works as a tuner input. I was not able to find ON and Off commands. I must have 20 different ON and Off commands that I have found over the years but none of them worked. I tried codes that worked on Sharp TVs that I installed as recently as this spring, but they did not work at all. Some of my older ON and Off commands would act as a toggle on/off. Has anyone had this problem? Am I missing something?
Thanks, Tom

Yup, you are missing telling us what remote you are using. The existing codes and databases vary wildly from product to product. What is it?

Have you tried input commands to see if they will turn the darn thing on? I assume you require discrete commands but have at least got the toggle from the remote that came with the set, right?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie, sorry, I am using an RTI T2+. I also screwed up the model # of the sharp TV it is a LC32DA5U. The input codes do not turn on the set. I did capture the toggle On/Off using the remote that came with the set, but some of my older exsisting database discrete On and Off codes are also acting like a toggle. I was hoping someone who has used this set(I know it is new) would have an idea where I could find the
correct On and Off discretes.

Sounds like a similar model that I was dealing with yesterday..... An absolute PITA!! Every discrete that I had, or could find didn't work. The unit wouldn't turn on with ANY button but the Toggle power.

Sharp does it again!!!

Oh and of course Sharp Australia knew nothing about new IR codes.
