I need to catch someone at my house messin w my stuff in my driveway. I have cameras I can use from the office, and I can place one in an attic vent. Just trying to think of an inexpensive way (as it will only be temorary) to record the camera, so I can check it when i get home. I dont have a time lapse VCR, or a CCTV DVR. Are there any applications/shareware/software programs that will record to a PC, if I can get a video input card connected to a PC?

A DTV or Dish DVR in any way?

Any other ideas I might be missing?

No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

RUDDY2, that seems like a good card but a bit expensive. A hauppage card can be had for around $20 and has coax and rca inputs. You will need a pretty big hard drive, with compression it still takes a minimum of 100 megs an hour.

Well, there's your answer. And as far as drive space, I thought this was only temporary.

There is a X-10 device you can hook up to your VCR so it will record when it detects motion...
