I am not sure where to post this so I figured this is the best place to start. I Install this lcd in are store and have had nothing but problems with it I was using it with the MRC88 and a audio request via rs232 which was hell to setup but once I got it set up it was working pretty well minus a couple of little issuse. like video nosie but nothing a firmware update couldn't fix. well it work for about a month or so and then just lost all the codes and stop working . aleast rs232. I have to say I am unimpressed with this system for the money what a joke. Any way has any one had any of the same problems and if so any help would be great.

We only have one system in the field with a Xantech 6.4v & MRC88, but it uses an Imerge. Its been rock solid since the install, although it's only a few months old.

Are you using the RS232 for the Imerge and the skin for the video page?

I haven't had any issues yet, but I am not shocked with your reported problems Xantech is on shaky ground with me!

I just installed a 6.4g, and am having some issues. Sometimes the unit "locks up" for 3 or 4 seconds before changing pages. Frustrating.

Make sure you are using the latest firmware, we don't have any issues so far.

OK guys, I think a few key things are possibly being overlooked, and if I am wrong, disregard the post.
Until universal dragon comes out (yes the mythical creature that we have been promised for quite a while now) the whole process to get a Xantech system up and running (sucessfully) is going to depend on doing the following.
1) Always, always, always work with the most current firmware.
2) once a project is downloaded into the SPLCD and you are using it in conjunction with an MRC/MRA product you must cycle the power on the amp/controller or the two will not be in sync with each other, which can cause lags between page navigation as well as other issues.
3) if using the MRC/MRA keypads you will need to do a keypad icon download after you transfer the project to the amp/controller, otherwise you may have keypad display issues.
4) when transfering your projects to the SPLCD, especially the larger projects (I have had some over 16mb) you will need to recalibrate the touch sense, and I have even had to recalibrate several times in a row.
I hope this helps.
also if any of you have 232 files or IR files to trade (ones not already in the data base) let me know.
