Anyone know where the IR eye is on the H-Dila sets?
Specifically, its a HD-61Z786
Manual was no help, and I dont see it anywhere on the ft panel.
DO I have to open the case to flash this set?

Yes, you do. I am going to try an experiment on the next install. If I use a URC remote I am going to place an MRF250 at some convenient and inconspicuous place in the room to flash the TV. If someone has tried this I would appreciate the feedback.

Well this sucks. If youve done it, any pointers on where to look first? Is it a bitch?
Ever tried just flashing it with a flasher placed in front of the set? this particular on eis in a custom cabinet, so I could actually hide the flasher behind a lip that surrounds the set.

Piece of cake Frank. A bunch of screws around the frame. Screen comes off the front. IR receiver is in the bottom back right (looking at the front) side. Can't miss it.

I'm not afraid... I take the back panel off, and pull the whole motherboard assembly out a couple of inches. The IR receiver is right next to the lens. Put it back together and run the wire out through a vent hole in the back.
YMMV
