Guys

I've been programming a remote today and came across a rather odd fault you might be interested in.

I was programming a Marantz RC5400 remote using the optional RX-77 radio converter. As part of the system was a Pioneer DV868 and a Denon AX1 amplifier which were connected using a firewire cable.

To cut a very long story short after lots of messing about I discovered that when the DVD player was was on it completed disabled the RF part of the remote control. I turned the DVD player off and the remote started to work again.

To get the system to work I changed the firewire lead for a digital coax one and it worked fine.

weird one!!!
