*giggles*

I would put in my 2 cents here but it seems I cant afford it, everyone has raised the bar I just cant compete.

This is what happens when box slingers try to go pro as we all can see. The Crestron thing I think is a cut and paste action with MS Paint. Or maybe CrestIron is where they get their shirts embroidered and they misspelled it, you MIGHT WANT TO USE CAPS NEXT TIME SO THEY CAN SEE THE PROPER TEXT.

Especially on your 'first day'!

Sounds like you handled it OK.

You did kind of ask for it though.

Most have dealt with your problem long before there were as many easy solutions as there are today.

Your web site, although quite professional, only drove the nail deeper!

Most never come back after a toungue lashing as everyone gave you, so welcome to the discussion...

It was like a group that I once worked with (Mike) you know who you are.....If anyone got out of hand and seemed all-knowing everyone made sure to nail him with the little things and keep him grounded.

Everybody has simple questions, its just that you need to be reminded of that when you ask it..... Keeps you in check that its the simplest things that keep it going...
If you can't be good, be good at it.

Hey Caffeinated,

I must say, even though your Halloween response was quite insulting, the whole office here is still laughing today.

Your the hit of the day here.

[edit] Ah, hell, I'm several days late and the guy has made nice. Welcome!
Oh, well, though, never one to let sarcasm go to waste: [end edit]

Hey Dolfan and Ernie,

Sorry for the caps. It was our first day posting
a thread.

And it was your first day ever seeing the site, and you decided not to read any posts, or you did but did not notice that nobody uses all caps?

Chill out man!!! I didnt realize it
was a personal attack. What are you guys, the cyber
police??? We had a question and we were hoping
for some responses from guys like yourself that
had some experience with different issues.

You will get that. But you must conform, you see, to our narrow norms. On this site, we are very specific as to whom we will help. Here's the short list of people who fit within our tight definition of community:
Any color, any nationality, any skill level, any attitude, any political party, any religion, have any native language, come from any planet or dimension now known or unknown.

The long list of people who will not get help here:
1.Those who shout (the, what, twenty-year old computer protocol for shouting is to capitalize all letters; it is not just you -- this happens to most people the first time they use a computer).
2.Those who ask questions so unfocused or so generic as to only inspire sarcasm.
3.Those who read threads more than a couple months old and bump them back to the top of the list by making irrelevant comments.

Group two will get their answers once they settle down and ask answerable questions. Group one will be hammered, usually once, and then most of them will respond with happy, happy, joy, joy, these guys want to help, but jeeze, they are consulting for free and don't want to have to wade through capital letters, so, okay already. Group three is hopeless.

Get a life...................LOSERS!!!!!!!!!

Ah. I see you are now all happy, happy, joy, joy that you have found a community you can be part of.

[that last was actually part of the original post, not edited -- I did say sarcasm, didn't I?]

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I had an English professor who would just delete all e-mails using all caps. You just turned in your term paper with the header in caps, so sorry. You don't catch it until she is posting grades and it too late, late papers count as a zero. Saw a couple people fail the class over that.

Just be glad they only gave you a little crap over that, it really pisses some people off. I usually just go on to the next thread.
