I just found that if the unit is off and you remove
power, It turns on when power is restored...

Ok lets say the client is out of town and the
power goes out is the projo going to sit there
powered up for a week??

I am running it now to see if it times out after
a period of time with no signal and shuts off

I am hoping it does, This new projo is begining
to not be such a hot unit...no discretes, powers
up after a power loss, whats next??

Its been 30 min now and projo still running after the power up of the pluging it in...not looking good

***EDIT Ok found projo power setting was in auto instead of standby, switched it over and all is well on the powering up after power loss issue, Now for the discretes....

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Has anybody called Robin at Sim2 to see if this will be added with new firmware or if there are discrete codes that just are not on the remote? We have one on order and were planning on comms with 232 but it would be good to know if discretes were on the way for future system design.

I haven't heard of any future inclusion of discreet IR power codes, but I'm going to be calling Sim2 to put the bug in their ear. Hopefully....

I have 2 calls in to them as well as several emails. I have my rep calling in the morning as well to get this resolved. I am not expecting them to jump right up and offer discretes anytime soon but I probably wont spec the C3X unless its controlled with 232.

Its too bad as its a great projector but seems to be lacking in control...IE Discrete IR
