I have a client with a thomson 32" tv and when I try and learn the commands via a xantech urc2 no commands are learned though dragon drop indicates that it has received it. Anyone with these codes or any suggestions?
I have tried new batteries, varying distance between remotes, pushing scource button before learning, short pushes, long pushes, interupting the signal, standing on one foot then the other, tongue to the left, right, in and out. Have even tried convincing client that it's time for nice new lcd tv (she agreed unfortunately he didn't).
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Thanks

Are you having problems learning all of the commands or only certain ones?

After much swearing and cursing I managed to learn vol up, ch down and power, however these are of no use to me seperately. I have even tried learning in a dark room to eliminate any potential interference. Very frustrating as they are older clients who have problems using multiple remotes, if I could get power, volume, video and #1 working I could set up some useable macros.

Does the software allow you to look at the hex code for the commands? If so, and you posted vol up, ch down and power, chances are good that someone will be along here within a day who will know how to figure out codes for the other commands. What are the other commands you need?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

unfortunately xantech software doesn't give the hex but will try and get there and learn it on to speakercraft ( think I can get the hex from their software) will also try RCA codes I have on file. It may be a while before I can get back to the client but will keep you posted. Thanks

If you go into the pallet editor you can right click and get to the hex.

If you are learning commands erratically, look at the red asterisks before the learned commands in pallet editor. If you see TWO asterisks, you may have toggle bits; in that case check the toggle bit box and relearn. You will be asked to learn the same code twice (toggle bit #1 and #2) at which time you may be all set.

I have really enjoyed that little remote, but unfortunately, with cable boxes, dvrs, and certain odd buttons, it's slightly limited. Also, save your work often because you can't upload and start editing again if you lose it on your pc. Cute little remote, though, pretty good value.
