Does anyone out there have discrete codes for the new Toshiba Plasma 42DPC85. Need discrete video inputs.

I just hung one today. If you find the codes let me know.

Thanks

Don't the standard Toshiba TV codes work on this? "Input" command followed by 1-5 for inputs 1-5 repectively? Also I thought the folks at Toshiba told me that the standard Toshiba discrete power commands also work?

We haven't finished the install yet so I haven't gotten to test the discretes. I will say that the display does not bring up the input list like it used to. When you press input it just goes to the next input and then puts onscreen what the input it is. They may work but seeing this happen scares the hell out of me.

Robbie,

Then it does not sound like they are using the traditional Toshiba IR codes for input. Unless there are other discretes, I would not sell one. Gotta have discrete input and power. Toshiba, of all mfgs, should know better.

Well, I was told there were discretes but you know how that goes.... Anything to make a sale...... I really hope they haven't done this with all of the new DLP televisions as well.

Nope, The new DLP RPTV's use the traditional IR remote control set. jsut sold 2 of the 62HMX195 (1080 dlps) and all the discretes work (power on, power off, input, aspect ratio)

If you press and hold the input button it will bring up an input screen but not the traditional Input Menu 1-5. Yet there is no anchor to run thru inputs either.
