On Multiroom peice that gets easily overlooked is the Rotel RX-1052. 100x2 powered main zone and 3 additional Line output ZOnes for $899 retail. Great piece. Nioce RS-232 Control and full IR as well.

Yep, but add a few amps plus some sort of control in each zone and you lost your price advantage.

Using VERY creative remote programming can get you around the global off issue.
A "all off" macro with the codes for each individual item, be it receivers, cd's, or Abus keypads. It simply becomes a "system off" command to the end user.
Of course Abus with a couple nice MX850's, some source equipment and you're pushing the envelope price wise anyway.
Reality is that it's just a PIA trying to do offer elaborate control for low bucks.

How can you see and control itunes remotely with a handheld or wall mounted display without going to the mac? Something solid enough that can be installed or provided to a customer.

I don't see a 5300 on the web site. Euro model maybe?
I'm curious because I've heard absolutely nothing good about 2nd zone control of Marantz receivers. "pathetic for a company like Marantz" has been said a few times. The current model is the SR5600. The multi zone is solid as long as you have the descrete commands. Unfortunatley they only supply them with the SR9600. They also come with the RC5400 & RC9400.
