I currently have a whole house audio that uses keypads to control everything including a Rio Receiver MP3 player. I want something more robust in terms of queueing up songs, selecting songs, etc. Spelling out songs/artists/albums on phone-type keypad isn't fun.
I want to keep the keypads, but add some kind of remote. It needs to be RF or Wi-Fi as I don't have IR everywhere I'd like to use it.
What are my options? I was considering a PocketPC w/Wi fi , NetRemote and a cheap/old PC to control the mp3s and add that into my existing system.

I believe Crestron has an Itunes interface...
Sonos? A media server as part of your multi room such as Escient or Request and add an RF remote (RTI or URC remote).
Anyone have any better suggestions?

I have seen the Sonos and really like their controller. However, they only offer it as a package (amp, etc.) and it is not designed to work with in-wall speakers. I wish they would just market the mp3 portion of it minus the amp.
