I order some custom cables thinking I was getting some high quality. Is rg59 suffcient for a subwoofer cable or what should have been used? Thanks Michael

Rg-59 will work just fine for a sub.

A copper center conducter with a copper braid is the prefered rg-59 cable.
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

Unless you're setting up something way over the top, nearly any shielded 2 conductor cable will do fine. That means 22/2 shielded, RG-6, RG-59 etc.

If you are not using shielded cable you will most likely hear a very unpleasant hum (and then be fired and go home broke and starve to death).

Tell me I'm dead wrong: Connect the most esoteric subcable money can buy to a 12" JBL powered sub and the cheapest shielded audio cable to a 12" M&K and tell me the M&K still doesn't destroy the JBL.
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..

Pilgram is spot on. It will work just dandy.
Don't believe everything that the producers of expensive wank cables tell you. They make thier living by telling a good story about thier product with lots of theoretical data that in real world terms, makes little or no difference.

A solid copper (as opposed to copper clad steel) centre core with a decent copper braided shield will work just as well as any expensive high end cable in real world terms. There are many other factors in setting up a sub that are far more significant to it's performance than this.

Simon.
I guarantee I'll tell you the truth and I guarantee I'll tell you what you need to know but I can't guarantee that I'll be telling you anything you want to hear.
