Don't know about the new hawg, but I broke a new one a couple years ago drilling through a joist that had some concealed structural steel. I was using a 1" GreenLee nail eater and it pulled me off my ladder in about the last 3" and my finger go squeezed so hard that it pushed the switch into the handle, and my finger bled from the edges like a smashed grape. I had to pull myself up by the handle, yank the cord out with my other hand (it was running at a stop because I was holding the switch so well). Then I was able to wiggle out and drop down. Had to run out and get another new hawg the next day.

I was pretty amazed myself.. Is there a thread for installer injuries?... I have a few good ones...

I don't know the model # of what we have, but it is a Milwaukee. It has a 4' or 5' attachment that allows my guys to drill holes through floor joists without a ladder. It was not cheap (I think it was around $700 for the attachment without the drill) but it saves you a lot of time. We saw another local electrician using one, and we had to buy it. Highly recommend it. If you are interested, I'll get the model # off it next time I go to the jobsite.

Brett, please do. A picture, please, if it's not too much trouble. I have a Milwaukee angle drill, #1107-1, I think. It's almost as torquey as my 24V. DeWalt cordless. Almost.
