I would like to say to all of you Thanks and this I mean!
I asked about transporting tools across the US and I did purchase a toolbox as mentioned and evrything made it as I expected.

Thanks All!!!!....

Now to Peerless, No thanks for the time I enjoyed while in NAPA,CA

I called you for advice on which mount to use for a customer Fujitsu Plasma.....I even called tech support and sales and gave you the model number and every other number on the unit.....I then had the entire unit drop shipped out to California, due to my midwest location and traveling options. When I arrived with just two days to do this, I was surprised to see the plasma had no screws visible on the back being it was 5-10 years old.....

But you ask didnt I tell Peerless the age of the Plasma?.....I did and I gave them the model number and everything else.....Did this help....NOPE....in fact in the cross-reference of the plasmas and which screws to use the model was listed as N/A.....even I can see that it didnt work.....

Well anyway, with a local hardware store some 1/2 steel and some angle iron, I with the help of the customer, a drill press from the neighborhood and a welding from a local artist we created a bracket for the articulating mount to attach to.....

DONE........But alas no thanks to PEERLESS......

I understand I have to be more careful when I travel for installs, but even if I had ordered the bracket ahead of time and brought it with me I would still be S.O.L......Thanks for the wonderful tech support.

No don;t get me wrong I will order the bracket again in a heartbeat but I needed to vent and warn others to double-check everything

Plasmas can still be wall mounted even though they weren't intended for it and when I asked them if there was a mount they said YES....

How else would I figure out if it were possible......

Ask the suppliers of the mount if there is one available and if they said yes then hmmmmmm..... enough said......

If I as you to mount a plasma and gave you a model number how would you find out if you could mount it....

I can see you had a bad couple of days but these things happen. There is no way to be certain about these things unless you are supplying the plasma and then sh*t still happens. I see the situation being condusive to problems. I see no reason to trash Peerless. I find installs like these are good for lessons learned. In the end you were resourcefull enough to make it work. Good job. On to the next one.
BTW, the first plasma I ever saw was the Philips 7 or 8 years ago.

Peerless makes a good mount, but I really like the build quailty of the Chief Mount products, and their ease of installation, but I have had the same experience with the mount not coming with some sort of "special adaptor" and have learned that unless I have installed that specific mount w/ that specific FPD I call tech support and explain to them that I will have someones A*# if I am missing anything (of course I say it in a nice way, like... lost time on a job cuts into our profit, I know you understand this...thank you for making sure I have everything I need...blah, blah, blah) and so far so good, got bit once, and so far not a second time.
What part of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." do you not understand?

p.s. What I find unusual though, is that someone is paying someone to fly around the country to mount a 5-10 year old plasma, and then creating a custom bracket for it. Sounds odd, but what the hey. Maybe there was other equipment involved. Care to humor us and explain CI?

We sold the Fujitsu plasmas, and the brackets to go with them, back since Fujitsu were still updating their first chassis...

They didn't make Smart Mounts back then, you had to use a mount and a plate.

PLW (flat) or PLT (tilit) mount; and either a PLP-FUJ42 (pre-HD panels, thick bezel) or the PLP-FUJ4211 (first HD 42s, and the thin bezel SDs).

Doesn't help now... but that should be right on.

More than I'll ever do with them.

Peerless screwed me over once. And I can assure you that I'll never sell another item made by them...

The reason I went that far was for my sister....So it was a family issue and like I said I just wanted to rant and I WOULD go back to Peerless again, I like the mount....

If It wasn't for the family tie, it would cost the customer an arm and a leg to get me across the country....

Next time though I will take the time to investigate more thoroughly before I end up with egg on my face....

And Shoe "I see no reason to trash Peerless".....I didnt trash the product, but warned others to check for themselves....

You all seem to be the only ones who can really check ideas, problems, and various odd questions and I was hoping that
when I call a company I get an answer straight from the horses mouth.....

Wishful thinking.....

Point taken. It was the title of the thread I was responding to. A lot more people read the title than actually read the posts.
I just always apply Murphy's law with everything I do (most of the time anyway). Of course when I don't, I pay for it in one way or another.

I'm about 30 miles from Napa. Would have been fun to meet you and stomp and complain with you a little bit. Let me know if they need any help and don't want to buy you a plane ticket. It's only $3 bridge fare for me!
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
