Hi,
Hopefully this will be of some help.
I've got a client with a Linn Classik Movie Di who is using it with a Pronto. No discrete inputs or power, so got silly macros cycling through intputs using DVD as a start point.
Have just been experimenting after obtaining the RC5 commands from Linn (which don't work if you punch them into Pronto Edit) and have got the codes working.
I did a bit of learning from the handset, and then editing the codes with the help of Linn's document and a hex code translation document found using a Google search!
I've got discretes for power and input. The CMDi will power up from standby with any of the input codes, so you don't have to use a power on command in your macros.
I'm just waiting for the email instructions to post it on her, however just email me if you want a copy; it's only 2k as a zip file!
Regards,
Nick

Don't you just love Linn?
I take it you're not a Linnsight dealer? I used to be a fan until a customer came to me with a Knekt system came to me.
Nice to hear from a fellow UKarian.

With a passion!
Yeah, we're Linnsight too...
I've been dealing with Knekt on and off since it was launched way back in the late unpleasantness!
My advice to you is that if an end-user comes to you with a Knekt system installed by someone that isn't working right, don't guarantee anything.
I've got a client with a system that's been wired with with some crap 8 core cable nowhere near CAT5 spec. Let's just say it behaves oddly. It's a big old house and rewiring is not an option. Before checking it out of course we said we could get it working right!
Hey ho.
Best,
Nick

Do you find that the operation and text feedback is real slow? Browsing the Imerge must take my client ages!
It's cat5 wired, too. I'm tempted to suggest replacing it with something else like Opus, but one zone is to an outbuilding with at least 150m of cable with 5 joins in it!
Actually sounds nice all that way away too!

Operation and feedback is slow if there's a problem in the system.
Test all cables, remote loops and the killer is sunlight/spurious IR feeding into keypads. Rooms with bright spotlights are a common cause of control problems.
I've got a client with a Kivor Index in his Knekt system and we're experimenting with some software called NetRemote for his PDA. If it works, then he can control the Kivor using the Imerge Xiva Tacta GUI and the RCU with a modified CCF (courtesy of NetRemote) on the PDA.
Should make integration of both nice and simple if it works!

Yeah, It's: http://www.promixis.com/ Have a look, I downloaded it and my SPV/Windows Mobile tried to run it (without success) as it was connected to the laptop at the time! Nick
